Michael + Katie
Katie grew up on her family farm in Versailles and works for the IRS in the Capitol. Micheal is a lawyer who has embraced the country lifestyle. I nerded out completely when I met them, asking them so many questions about goats, gardens and acreage. I grew up on a farm too, but it had horses and I had way more questions about rotating crops and raising heirloom chickens. They were so sweet and didn’t have goats but you could tell their love for the land. So we decided to do their engagement at her farm. We waited and waited for the leaves to turn, but it was one of those years where it just kept getting colder without turning so we decided to go ahead and shoot. I think they picked the best outfits to convey that it actually was Autumn. You can see their beautiful wedding here! Enjoy!
