Michael and Katie
Katie is a Kentucky native who works for the IRS and Michael is a lawyer. So it was no surprise that their wedding was all elegance and tradition. No first look, black tie and a beautiful full ceremony in a church. I love barefoot weddings in fields and rooftop elopements, but there’s something about shooting a traditional wedding that just takes you back to the classics. Katie got ready in her parents beautiful home, I mean do you see that orange room?? Michael got ready in their downtown apartment which had these great shutters, it didn’t take much to convince him to let me drag out a leather chair. After a small church ceremony their party moved downtown to Hilary Boone Center on University of Kentucky’s campus. A wonderful dinner and cake cutting with speeches and the party moved outside to the patio and dancing under the stars. It was a magical night, enjoy!
