Josh + Angie
The groom Josh might be a familiar face if you’re planning a wedding, or have been to a wedding in Lexington. He’s been a DJ here and Cincinnati for longer than most. Or maybe you know his sister-in-law Mollie who did all the hair and makeup. Working with other vendors when they are the couple or the guests is always a treat. Since I already knew so many of the people who are in this wedding or at this wedding, I knew one thing for sure when Josh asked me to shoot it. There would be bourbon and there would be something with UK basketball. I was not wrong. Set at the beautiful Manchester Music Hall in Lexington on a 95 degree day in July, there was a point we legit though Josh’s shoes were melting to the concrete. He said not to worry about it, he’s got backups and yes sir check out both the Bride and Groom’s blue UK shoes! One of my favorite things about this fun filled wedding that bucked most tradition, the best man, and Josh’s brother specifically grew out a mullet for the photos. Josh has always been one of the funniest people I’ve ever met, never takes life too seriously, and when his bride Angela thought Tony’s mullet was epic, well I knew he’d found the perfect girl. I love when couples know how serious the ceremony is, trust me they cried tears of joy through the whole thing, but also know it’s a party and to have fun with your details. The day is all about you, enjoy it!
