Adam + Leslie

When Leslie called me to book me I was over the moon to say the least. She’s been a model in Lexington for a long time and I knew she would just be so fun to work with. We did their Engagement Shoot downtown so going back for their wedding we wanted a very different vibe. They didn’t want to do a first look, which we went over fully in the timeline because getting married at 5:30 in November with an hour long ceremony means no natural light for couples portraits. Leslie instead wanted to concentrate on Bridals and the their reception shots.

Adam got ready at his parents house, playing pool and watching football on tv, we popped out back to a grove of trees to get some group shots. Leslie got ready downtown at The Sire Hotel, a perfect location for her vintage vibe. After that we travelled to St. Pauls on Short Street for their ceremony. With no cocktail hour we quickly grabbed a few portraits on the Carrick House porch before they got introduced. I can see looking back why they wanted as much time for their reception as possible, it was a PARTY. Live music from the Tee Dee Young Band, delicious cake from Tinker’s and a full night of open bar with 1920’s decor, it was a roaring speakeasy feel for sure.
