They say rain is good luck on your wedding day, and if that’s the case then Heather and Derek had buckets of it! We watched the weather so close all week, it kept going back from sunny all day to a sprinkle maybe. Well we got a full on monsoon, Kentucky weather am I right? But there’s no venue that rain can ruin when I’m shooting. We had a beautiful front porch that we were able to utilize and even got to sneak out for about six minutes for a few garden shots. It sure didn’t put a damper on anyones spirits though! This wedding was a PARTY!
Heather and her Mom made a ton of the decor, with handmade signs and small bouquets of flowers dotted all over the house and tent. And with the money she saved doing a lot of it herself she surprised Derek with a special custom wedding ring from Rivards Fine Jewelry, he was brought to tears and it was just precious.
Despite the torrential downpour the day was a huge success, the barbeque food truck was a guest favorite, most going back for seconds. And Chris Dedman had the dance floor packed from the minute it opened. And I guarantee no guest forgot that the miserable weather only added to the fun memories made every second of the day! Enjoy!
